About MDCS
DV Power’s Module Discharge Container System (MDCS) is a specialized solution for the safe and efficient discharge of battery modules prior to recycling.
Designed to operate within a secure 10-foot container, the MDCS enables outdoor discharge operations, ensuring both safety and ease of use.
It integrates 32 discharge channels providing a reliable method to extract energy from battery modules as a critical step in the recycling process.
- Central Control System: Equipped with an industrial PC, the MDCS coordinates inputs from multiple sensors—including thermal cameras, and an emergency stop button—to ensure safe and efficient operation. Visual and audio alarms alert operators to any issues, and the system will halt discharge if necessary.
- User-Friendly Interface: Operators manage discharge parameters and monitor thermal data using a 15-inch display. This interface provides easy access to settings and real-time feedback for optimized control of the discharge process.
- Advanced Safety Measures: The MDCS includes two thermal monitoring cameras as well as measurement channels for thermal sensor that can be attached to modules. If unsafe temperature levels are detected, the discharge process automatically stops, ensuring maximum safety for personnel and equipment.
- Robust Mechanical Design: The system features a durable rack capable of holding 4 pallets filled with battery modules, 8 of them per pallet, allowing simultaneous discharging and maximizing efficiency in high-demand environments.
