We are proud to announce the major software upgrade for our recently launched product – current and voltage transformer analyzer CVA500. The software upgrade is related to the new user interface, which brings numerous new features and expands CVA500 capabilities. 

It is now possible to select appropriate IEC or IEEE standards for CT testing, CT type (metering or protection), CT class (based on the selected standard), and to define rated instrument security factor (FS), rated accuracy limit factor (ALF), rated secondary terminal voltage (Vb), extended current range, rating factor, rated burden and cosφ, and rated CT knee point. 

The new application brings several new important tests. CVA500 now checks CT accuracy class by measuring ratio and phase errors for 4 different burdens and for 8 different primary currents. It also measures CT composite error as well as FS (for IEC-based metering CTs), ALF (for IEC-based protection CTs), and Vb (for IEEE-based protection CTs) parameters. Pass/fail assessment is made automatically based on the selected standard, CT class, and defined rated values. 

The new software application is compatible with all CVA500 instruments. To upgrade your existing CVA500 device, please contact DV Power support team.
